A1A Home Watch and Concierge Services of Hypoluxo, FL, earns fifth-year accreditation from the NHWA!
Owners Kerry and Geoff Thornton have over 40 years’ experience in providing quality customer care through their successful pool business, so the idea of providing more services through another business seemed like a natural fit. Geoff has experience in all phases of work; he has years of construction experience and the know-how to do just about anything. Kerry’s dental profession background was the perfect training for customer relations, continuity of care, attention to detail, and business management. As a team, Geoff and Kerry have expanded their pool business to accommodate the needs of their clients. “Hands on” and “always available” have been vital keys to their success.
Living in Florida her entire life, Kerry is well versed on storm preparation and the challenges heat and humidity can bring to any home, especially that of an absentee homeowner. Through frequent team training with members of their staff, A1A is ready to assist in any circumstance. With degrees in hospitality, graphic design and business, the Thornton boys, Sean, Timothy, and Connor, have also become involved in the family business as it continues to grow. “When you hire me, you hire my family” is a message often heard and well received by their clients.
Timothy had experience house-sitting for family friends and was key with the development of the business after graduating with a degree in hospitality. His creative problem-solving skills were developed through his tenure at a local, world-class resort in Palm Beach, where he excelled in multiple roles and was celebrated in the Dale Carnegie Leadership Excellence Program. It was here that he met his fiancé, Taylor Flood, and together they decided to commit all their time to growing the business by providing an elevated home care experience to their clientele.
Taylor is originally from Wisconsin; her Midwest charm pairs perfectly with the Southern hospitality synonymous with A1A. Taylor’s attention to customer satisfaction paved her career in hospitality management at one of the world’s premier resorts. After honing her skills in customer service, leadership, problem solving, and organization, she is thrilled to translate what she has learned into an exciting Home Watch career.
Wanting to establish and maintain the highest set of standards and ethics, A1A is proud to be an Accredited Member of the NHWA and is accredited with the Better Business Bureau, with an A+ rating. A1A also volunteers in the community and recently earned recognition as being One of The Best of the Space Coast businesses for 2020. They have been nominated in Palm Beach County as well.
Kerry has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional from the NHWA, making her one of the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation shows her commitment to providing excellent service to her clients.
I saw Kerry again while I was on my Florida tour in January, when she co-chaired the inaugural meeting of the NHWA’s South East Florida Chapter.
