Accredited Home Watch Services of Boca Raton, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.
Owners Lynn and Pete Schmitz have owned over 15 homes together; most were their residences, and several were rental properties. These have always been their largest investments, and they have gone to great strides to protect them, especially when they were away for extended periods of time or while they rented them out. Lynn and Pete’s interest in Home Watch was generated from their personal ownership experiences, as well as their professional association with both real estate and insurance for over 35 years.
As a property and casualty insurance agent, Pete deals in the property insurance market every day. He has handled many claims and offered best practices to his clients on how to be proactive to avoid claims. This first-hand knowledge of what can happen dovetails nicely with Accredited Home Watch’s services and their ability to identify issues before they become major ones.
Lynn’s experience in real estate, both as a broker and a paralegal, also complements Accredited Home Watch’s offering with a unique viewpoint of home ownership and the risks involved. Lynn’s local connections with service providers, real estate title, and legal firms contribute to the additional benefits offered to their clients.
Living and working in the Palm Beach area, Lynn and Pete are accustomed to the seasonality and extended periods of unoccupied homes this area experiences. They formed Accredited Home Watch Services to fill the needs their neighbors require.
