Greetings!
Alpine Home Watch of Breckenridge, Colorado, has earned Accredited Member status in the NHWA for the fifth year.
I first met Dwayne and Glori Cavin when they attended our 2014 North American Conference in Myrtle Beach. It turns out that Glori had seen her cousin, Steve Stiffler of White Pelican Home Watch (which serves The Villages in Central Florida), when they ran into each other at a family event. One thing led to another, and he suggested that Glori and Dwayne might want to consider starting a Home Watch company in their own community. So, they traveled to Myrtle Beach, met a bunch of people who were doing Home Watch, and the rest is history. Alpine Home Watch was born.
It was pretty much a perfect fit. As a teen, Glori worked with her parents at their rental properties where her Dad taught her design, electrical, plumbing, and even how to cut and lay tile. So, she certainly knew her way around the workings and building of homes. In college, she earned her degree in Business Administration. Dwayne grew up in the Colorado Mountains and worked a variety of maintenance jobs to put himself through college, where he got his Master’s in International Business. After Dwayne and Glori married, they bought a fixer-upper in California. This gave them real-life investment experience. After they sold (and did very well) their home, they moved to Colorado and fell in love with Summit and Park Counties. They invested in another fixer-upper. As more investment properties followed, they remodeled, rented and maintained them. They learned that owning a home in the mountains is a great investment, but it has its unique set of problems. So, it is because of their experience, drive and commitment that clients trust Alpine to deliver on their motto: “Minimize the Risk and Maximize the Potential of Your Second Home.”
