Anchors Away Home Watch of North Wildwood, NJ, earns third-year accreditation from the NHWA!
Growing up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, owner Christine Isaksen spent many summers at the Jersey Shore. In 2014, she purchased her very own vacation/investment home in North Wildwood.
Owning a second home brought a lot of joy and a nice income, but also a lot of stress. Christine now knows what it’s like to worry about her property, especially during winter months. Although she has been lucky, some of her friends and neighbors have not been quite as fortunate. Christine has heard their horror stories of frozen pipes, undetected leaks, and heaters that stopped working in the middle of the winter. When storms hit, she would feel helpless, having to wait to determine if there was any damage. The sleepless nights and hours in the car commuting back and forth just to check on her home were not fun.
Christine started Anchors Away Home Watch to give her clients the security of knowing that their property is safe when they are not there; the assurance to know that if/when something goes wrong, Christine is there to help take care of the problem; and the knowledge that she will care for their property as she does her own.
Christine is a licensed New Jersey real estate agent and was considered a “dual career” agent up until last year, when she ended her 30+ year career in technology sales. Zoom meetings, webinars, and virtual sales presentations during the pandemic made her realize just how much she missed the salt air; this led to an early retirement from corporate America. Christine made the decision to move to the Jersey Shore and start a business that provides local homeowners with the Home Watch services that she wishes she had when she needed them most. She pays close attention to detail and uses her trained eyes to identify problems that the average person may not see or even look for. Christine’s roots in the area have helped her identify local, reliable vendors and tradespeople for when problems arise.
