Brazos Home Watch of Granbury, TX, earns accreditation from the NHWA!

Kay and Scott Loftin

Greetings!

Brazos Home Watch of Granbury, Texas, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.

Owners Scott and Kay Loftin are local Granbury residents. Scott has lived in Granbury his entire life, and Kay is a native Texan and proud Granbury resident since 2006.

Scott earned a degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University, and then worked as a superintendent in new home construction. He went on to spend 30+ years working for government contractors supporting the federal defense and civil sectors. Scott held public trust and secret clearances during his tenure and managed multiple corporate teams. He is well versed in purchasing, project and subcontract management, asset management, and Lean/Six Sigma processes.

Kay had a long career as an executive secretary in a regional private mortgage company, as well as supporting the chief credit officer in a public company servicing sub-prime auto loans.  Scott and Kay’s corporate backgrounds required strict adherence to specific processes utilized to protect sensitive and financial information in the private, public, and government business environments.

Scott and Kay wanted to start a company that takes advantage of their acquired business knowledge, joined with their desire to provide much-needed services to Granbury and surrounding communities. They found themselves longing to own a business that would utilize their service and concierge skills they find so rewarding. Thus, Brazos Home Watch was born.

Scott is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional, which puts him into the category of elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Scott’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.

Scott and Kay have participated in many week-long church youth mission trips that often include up to 100 participants, providing home repair and maintenance services throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. For the last several years, Kay has managed the kitchen teams, preparing two hot meals a day for the overall groups. Scott has overseen all construction activities, usually for eight work teams. In this role, Scott meets with each client, reviews and agrees upon actions to be taken, procures all materials, and ensures that the work teams complete the agreed-upon work.

In her spare time, Kay is an avid quilter and is always jumping into a new and unique project.  Scott loves handyman projects and tending to the family farm. Together, they enjoy raising Charolais cattle, live music, and sampling food and wine as they explore the great State of Texas.

It was nice to meet Scott at the NHWA’s 2022 North American Conference in October.
