Coast Home Watch of La Jolla, California, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA for the sixth consecutive year.
Mary Ellen Kinnaman started Coast Home Watch in 2011 because one of her real estate clients that she had been doing favors for – keeping an eye on her empty home – told her that she should open a Home Watch company, and that she would be her first customer. The client owned many homes around the country, and she knew that with Mary Ellen’s expertise in the La Jolla real estate market, as well as her professionalism and attention to detail, she would be very successful. She was obviously intrigued, because she had sold homes to many part-timers and absentee owners. She would check on these homes as a courtesy from time to time, but never really considered starting a business. So, after a year’s worth of research, and questioning some of her associates regarding their thoughts about the viability of Home Watch, she started Coast Home Watch. Coast became the first NHWA Accredited member in the Greater San Diego area, and Mary Ellen has become an industry leader. Mary Ellen and her Husband, David, attended our 5th Annual North American Conference last month in Phoenix.
