Greetings and salutations!
Colorado River Home Watch of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA for the second consecutive year.
Owner Marie Johnson lived and worked in Minnesota until 2013, when she became a “snowbird.”
Marie has experienced the ups-and-downs of being a second homeowner in the Lake Havasu City area. One year, she had the pleasure of returning home to a clean house stocked with food. Another year, Marie returned home to Minnesota to find little critters in her basement. After moving to Lake Havasu City in 2015, she experienced an air conditioner not working, which left the inside of the house at 99ºF.
Marie learned that relying on family or friends to check on your house can have its problems; you cannot get mad at them for something they do not know how to do.
Before forming Colorado River Home Watch, Marie was a police officer for over 15 years, achieving the rank of Detective. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and a Master’s Degree in Police Leadership, Administration and Education.
We had the pleasure of meeting Marie at the NHWA’s 4th Annual North American Conference in September of 2016.
