Owner Steve Motyczka is a retired New Jersey State Trooper and a 25+ year resident of Westfield. His law enforcement career began as a patrolman with the Westfield Police Department and concluded in one of the most sensitive positions in the New Jersey State Police. As a first responder, Steve has more than 15,000 first responder and police contacts. On September 11, 2001, Steve responded to and participated in law enforcement efforts at and around Ground Zero.
Steve is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp, which exemplifies his commitment to attention to detail and Home Watch excellence.
Steve is a New Jersey licensed Private Detective and an accredited investigator. His awareness of local crime trends, culture, and attitudes, in conjunction with his extensive training in Homeland Security and personal protection techniques and methods, afford HomeWatch of Westfield’s clients unparalleled comprehensive Home Watch services that they can trust in and depend on.
Steve is the holder of current CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed certifications; he also holds current active shooter, identifying threats, and security and vigilance-for-everyone certificates.
