Home Watch of CT, LLC was established in Washington, CT by Brad & Emily Herget after noting that there was a lack of home watch services in the area as well as the state. We thought there was an obvious need for this type of business considering the local demographics and continued trends towards increased part-time residents. We started Home Watch of CT to serve this demand while offering a nationally accredited service that still has that 100% family owned and operated feel to it. We are proud to be the first and only nationally accredited home watch business in the state of Connecticut.
Our primary service is the Basic Home Watch Service. This service is based on weekly or bi-weekly visits, in which we visually check for obvious issues with the intent on catching them before they become large and costly. This is a complete interior and exterior visual inspection of your house and property which includes looking for damage, water leaks, mold, pests and cold/heat induced issues, to name a few.
We also offer a list of Concierge Services to assist you whether you are in-residence or not. These range from seasonal Opening & Arrival Preparation services to Closing services after you have left for the season. Throughout the storm season, clients can join our Storm List where we will make Pre and Post-Storm Inspections during any major weather event. Additionally, we offer 24/7 Alarm Response Services where we work as your local representative and will act on your behalf when your alarm goes off. We also offer more custom services, so if you do not see something listed here on our website, then just ask!
We are also available 24/7 to act as a local Key Holder when you need to have us give access to others. We can assist in meeting deliveries, to be safely deposited in the house. We can also can monitor appliance and other installations. You can find additional information, about Key Holding, on our website.
Hiring an individual, whether family, friend, neighbor or a local person who is not certified nor an accredited member of the NHWA may seem to accomplish the same results, but are they reliable, responsible, properly insured or bonded? Do they use secure methods to store your personal information, alarm codes or keys? With your house being one of your most valuable investments, it pays to be 100% sure to whom you are entrusting access and care
