East Coast Home Watch of Amelia Island, of Fernandina Beach, FL, earns Accredited Member status from the NHWA!
Owner Ann Wood is a native Texan who began her career in oil and gas production, accounting, and hospital purchasing. However, her deep passion for animals and serving her community, combined with her natural talents for problem solving and for cultivating strong client relationships, led Ann to establish her own thriving business, employing a talented team specializing in home and pet sitting, pet nutrition, and health care for pets.
During her 25 years as a business owner working in and responsible for clients’ homes, Ann gained extensive experience and practical knowledge of the potential issues and concerns that come with maintaining the integrity and security of a home. Her keen eye for identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, managing solutions, and monitoring tradespeople are instrumental in delivering the thing her clients value most—peace of mind and complete confidence that their property is safe and sound when they are not around
While doing pet sitting, Ann been to over 1,000 homes. She took care of many problems she ran into, mostly water or air-conditioning problems. When Ann moved to Amelia Island, she found there was a need for Home Watch and has now opened her company.
Ann has earned the designation of NHWA Certified Home Watch Professional and has graduated from the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp. The CHWP designation and Home Watch Boot Camp training show Ann’s commitment to providing excellent service to her clients.
I had the pleasure of meeting Anne during my tour of Florida in January.
A little about the National Home Watch Association: The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org).
