Happy Home Watch of Sarasota, of Siesta Key, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the fourth year.
Originally from Ohio, owner Katie Stricker visited her Snowbird grandparents on Siesta Key since she was a baby. When she was old enough to realize this area could be her home, Katie said, “Ohio had no hope!” Southwest Florida has indeed been Katie’s home since 2000, and Sarasota specifically, since 2008. She moved there to finish her master’s degree in Adult Education. That degree never got put to use. O’Leary’s Tiki Bar was a “temporary” job that lasted for 13 great years on Sarasota’s Bayfront.
Katie became interested in the Home Watch industry when she realized how many of her friends’ homes she was checking on while they were away. She saw what can happen to an unoccupied home, from water leaks and the resulting mold infestations to vandalism. Katie decided to make it official, and Happy Home Watch of Sarasota was formed. Happy Home Watch is “happily here for your home” and ready to be her clients’ eyes, ears, and nose, as well as their advocate when they are not at their Sarasota homes.
Katie is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional, which puts her into the category of elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Katie’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.
It was good to see Katie at our 2022 North American Conference in October.
Happy Home Watch of Sarasota serves from Fruitville Road out to Tuttle Road, down through Gulf Gate, out to Beneva Road. Located in Siesta Key, they serve mainly Siesta Key and downtown Sarasota.
