GMan Home Watch of Punta Gorda, FL, earns seventh-year accreditation from the NHWA!

Barbara and George Martinez

GMan Home Watch of Punta Gorda, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the seventh year.

Owners Jorge “George” and Barbara Martinez moved to Southwest Florida after their careers in the FBI. Their experience and dedication to serving and protecting the public is where GMan Home Watch got its start. The name is reminiscent of the 1930s slang term for FBI Special Agents.

GMan Home Watch was first established in Venice, FL. It was voted the “2020 Neighborhood Favorites – BEST PROFESSIONAL SERVICE” by subscribers to nextdoor.com. It is now under different management as GMan Home Watch Sarasota. George and Barbara then launched GMan Home Watch of Punta Gorda, where they have been voted “Neighborhood Favorite for Professional and Home Services” for two consecutive years. They convey professionalism, dependability, and excellent communication skills. Clients are comfortable knowing their home is well cared for while they are away. They consider GMan their most trusted neighbor.

After serving in various positions at the Skokie, IL, Police Department, George joined the FBI and served for 23 years as a Special Agent/Supervisory Special Agent. He led criminal and terrorism investigations. During his career, George received numerous awards and commendations from three FBI Directors. He was recognized by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia for outstanding efforts, resulting in multiple convictions of violent offenders. George then worked as a Program Director for ICF International, in support of the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration, Fraud Detection, and National Security Directorate.

Barbara is also a retired FBI Special Agent/Supervisory Special Agent, with over 33 years of specializing in criminal and terrorism investigations. Her distinguished career included being a member of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team. She participated in high-profile cases, including the investigations of the Unabomber and the 1996 Olympic bombing in Centennial Park. As Chief of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Operations Unit, Barbara brought life-saving equipment to first responders across the country. After 9/11, she led a Joint Terrorism Task Force in Richmond, VA, which successfully neutralized terrorist plots afoot only 90 miles from Washington, D.C. Together, this husband-and-wife team bring over 60 years of trusted experience, accountability, and a keen eye for detail.

GMan Home Watch of Punta Gorda serves the City of Punta Gorda and the Burnt Store Road communities extending to the Lee County line. Barbara and George can be reached at (941) 621-5254 or info@GManHomeWatch.com. Learn more at www.GManHomeWatch.com.
