Hill Way Home Watch of Cape Elizabeth, ME, earns second-year accreditation from the NHWA!

Jack Luber
Executive Director

Greetings!

Hill Way Home Watch of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.

Owner Leslie Young is a Maine native who studied Criminology at Southern Maine Community College and the University of Southern Maine, graduating in 1988. She served the residents of South Portland for 10 years as a police officer until family commitments took her away, giving her the opportunity to work for 20 years with Cape Elizabeth residents as their recreational coordinator/summer camp director.

Before opening Hill Way Home Watch in 2017, Leslie and her husband, Steve, had been operating a small property management service for years in Cape Elizabeth, until they were given the opportunity to manage a 10,000-square-foot development. This led to forming Hill Way Property Management.

In 2018, Leslie and Steve purchased property in Florida, which they discovered needed a reliable service to watch their investment for periods of time while they were away. From this, the idea of offering Home Watch back home became a reality. Leslie’s work experiences gained in law enforcement, community service, and property management have led to Hill Way Home Watch. She has become known for her great customer service, consistent communication, strong attention to detail, and ensuring a positive experience for her clients. Leslie is proud to be part of a growing service to her community.

Leslie loves the theater, reading, finding humor in the little things, a good cup of strong coffee, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their Australian Shepard, Millie. She is an athlete by nature and coached high-school field hockey for 10 years. Leslie proudly volunteers with and sponsors a non-profit organization called Healing Spaces, whose mission it is to bring joy through a nurturing environment to children and adults who are battling life-threatening illnesses or injuries or who are recovering from a tragedy.
