Home Check of Sun City, of Sun City, AZ, earns Accredited Member status from the NHWA!
Owner Jeff Gochoco is the youngest of 10 children. He grew up in York, Pennsylvania, home of the York Peppermint Patty, York Air Conditioning, and York Barbell, to name a few titans of industry.
Jeff graduated from Arizona State University and worked in various careers until he was bitten by the real estate bug. He was a top-producing Realtor and was awarded many commendations throughout his career. But Jeff always felt that happy clients were the only reward he needed.
After their last child left home, Jeff and his wife, Doris, moved to Sun City with their trusty Golden Retriever, Buddy. They are year-round residents. Jeff’s real estate career gave him the experience of being able to listen to clients’ needs and coming through for them. Jeff says, “A client’s wish list is very important. They are conveying to you what is most important to them. If you do not listen and do everything you can to make them feel like they’ve been heard, you may not have a client for life!” Jeff’s real estate business thrived because he had 100% client referrals.
As Sun City residents, Jeff and Doris are active volunteers in several groups. Jeff feels that If you aren’t part of the community, you are not “in the know.” He has seen crime increasing and instead of complaining, he joined the Sun City Posse. It’s an all-volunteer group of Sun City residents who volunteer their time to patrol the neighborhoods of Sun City. They also respond to resident calls, and they act as courtesy officers, offering assistance. It is here that Jeff thought the city needed more ways to make it safer. One way was to start a Home Watch business. While the Posse has a significant presence, they do not do interior/exterior property inspections, nor will they check faucets, plumbing, signs of forced entry, etc.
This is how Jeff is providing that blanket of peace of mind when Sun City residents leave for any extended period. People who leave for the summer or go on vacation can leave knowing that their most prized possession is being monitored, and they can enjoy their time away. They are registered, insured, and bonded; they are protected so that their clients are, too.
A little about the National Home Watch Association: The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org).
