Greetings!
Home Watch of Sarasota of Sarasota, Florida, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.
Owners Susan and Brian McKinnon are thrilled to be full-time residents of Sarasota, having relocated from Upstate New York. They fell in love with Sarasota after having a vacation home on Siesta Key for several years, which they rented and used with family and friends. Susan started Home Watch of Sarasota after having experienced first-hand the time and effort needed to prepare for their arrival and departure at their vacation homes, which took away from the enjoyment and time they had with family and friends. All of that, including the year-round and ongoing maintenance and upkeep as an absentee owner, and you have the perfect ingredients for their Home Watch business. Susan wants to do for others what, with the benefit of hindsight, Susan and Brian wish they’d had done for them.
Susan was a “domestic engineer” for 25 years, holding down the McKinnon fort of four daughters (now all adults) and maintaining three homes. As their primary household’s family planner, CFO, plus manager of their Upstate New York lake home and Siesta Key home, Susan has enjoyed sharing her experiences with family, friends, and clients. These experiences specifically relate to the Home Watch business, along with property rentals, management, concierge services, holiday and theme staging/decorating, and most of all, exceptional customer service and accountability. Susan takes great pride in doing the right thing at the right time for the client, to establish a lasting relationship of trust and reliability.
Brian is a Toronto, Ontario, transplant to the USA via a professional hockey career with the Buffalo Sabres organization. He was then a construction, real estate development, and property management professional for the next 27 years, bringing tremendous value to Home Watch of Sarasota. As a team, Susan and Brian look forward to the opportunity to utilize their vast experiences for the benefit of their clients.
