Home Watch Services of Florida, of Orlando/Kissimmee, FL, earns fifth-year accreditation from the NHWA!
It became apparent to owner Michael Weiser that there was a need for a responsible and reputable Home Watch professional in the Kissimmee/Orlando area, which is a very popular spot for vacationers and snowbirds. He was already watching homes for relatives who live abroad, as well as those who were snowbirds. So, he started Home Watch Services of Florida in January of 2016.
In 2017, Michael learned first-hand why it is crucial to have a professional Home Watch service. After returning from a 12-day trip to India with his wife, Ashoo, and their daughter, Saiya, to visit family, he found that a toilet had malfunctioned and caused over $25,000 in damages–to his own home! Talk about validating what you do?
Michael graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a business degree in 1992 and spent over 20 years working in retail management. He understands the importance of maintaining a vacant home, as well as the responsibility and trust that are needed when hiring a Home Watch professional.
It’s always great catching up with Michael, and we had a great discussion during my Florida tour in January.
A little about the National Home Watch Association: The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org).
