Home Watcher LV of Las Vegas, NV, earns 11th-Year accreditation from the NHWA!
JP Lalonde
Not only do I have the pleasure of announcing the 11th consecutive accreditation of Home Watcher LV of Las Vegas, Nevada, but also the 11th anniversary of my professional relationship and friendship with company founder, JP Lalonde. JP is one of the people responsible for continuously raising the standards of the NHWA—and, therefore, the Home Watch industry. Through his leadership as the Chair of our Education Committee, he is always there with thoughtful opinions and due diligence. JP has helped to influence and shape the direction of our growing Association.
A native of Montreal, Canada, JP spent 32 years in the automotive manufacturing industry. His career took him and his family from Canada to Michigan, Kentucky, and finally to Nevada. JP retired early as Manufacturing Engineering Director, but not before gaining experience in everything from IT to environmental control and energy management. His attention to detail and doing things the right way shaped his career. Soon after retiring, JP moved his family to Las Vegas, where he quickly became involved in his homeowners’ association. It was evident to him that with the amount of part-time and seasonal residents in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area there was a huge need for a reliable Home Watch service. So, Home Watcher LV was born. JP’s experience, attention to detail, and commitment to his clients are evident when you speak with him.
JP and Home Watcher LV take their NHWA accreditation very seriously, because it helps protect consumers from “sketchy and under- or uninsured” companies in his area. A leading voice in the North American Home Watch industry, JP also serves on the NHWA’s Advisory Board and Best Practices Committee. He has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional and is an overall instructor for Home Watch Boot Camp, specializing in the virtual platform, which he created. JP is qualified to instruct HWBC for many regions, even having trained an NHWA member in Australia.
I had the pleasure of spending time with JP and his lovely wife. Joann, a couple of months back during my western NHWA swing through Arizona, Las Vegas, and California in March.
