Chris Long

Home Watcher Services of Mohegan Lake, New York, has earned accreditation from the NHWA.

Owner Chris Long is a lifelong resident of Westchester County, residing in the hamlet of Mohegan Lake, in the town of Yorktown. He graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in Shrub Oak, N.Y., as well as the Northern Westchester Technical Center with a degree in Plumbing & Heating. Chris worked for various plumbing and heating contractors over the years, as well as 25 years as the Service Manager for a multi-million dollar plumbing and heating supply house in Somers, NY. He retired in 2012. For the next eight years, he consulted for 29 plumbing and heating manufacturers as a technical advisor and field manufacturer’s representative. In 2010, Chris formed Longs GCS Corp. Home, Building & Environmental Inspections

Chris has over 46 years’ experience in all phases of residential and commercial building projects, and his clients will tell you that he’s the ultimate straight shooter with a unique way of explaining complex technical information in a straightforward manner. But most importantly, he’s an advocate for all his clients. Chris believes his clients should know what condition the home or building is in before they buy, sell, leave for the season, or vacation abroad. He has extensive hands-on and managerial experience, along with credentials as a New York State and Connecticut licensed Home and Building Inspector, NY State Licensed Mold Assessor, certified NRSB Radon Measurement Technician, and a former Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certified Building Analyst. He believes his background as a Licensed Home Inspector and Licensed Mold Assessor makes him the perfect Home Watch professional.

Happily married to his high school sweetheart, Lorraine, for 42 years; Chris has four great children (Lisa, Chris Jr., Jason, and Grace Ann), as well as 10 grandchildren. He enjoys pontoon boating with them all on their boat on Lake Mahopac.

Chris looks forward to offering previous and new clients Home Watch and concierge services for their homes and condos. He also looks forward to being an active member of the NHWA.
