HomeFirst Total Home Management of Hampstead, NC, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.

As a North Carolina resident, Vice President Al Todd has been fortunate to live on both ends of his state. He grew up in the mountains of Asheville and moved to the coast about 16 years ago. Al now lives in Wilmington, swapping the mountains for the coast. He traveled extensively during his career, often spending several weeks away and leaving household maintenance to his family. When he first moved to Wilmington, Al was maintaining a home in Asheville, six hours away. Balancing a busy career and being a second homeowner, he realized the services of a Home Watch company would have provided peace of mind that his property was being taken care of in his absence.

When Al’s business partner and President of HomeFirst, Tim, approached him with the idea of starting their own Home Watch business, Al immediately saw the value the Home Watch industry offers to many people, from busy professionals to second homeowners.

Having experienced the need for a Home Watch service, Al understands how important it is for these busy people to develop a personal relationship with a confidential, dependable resource to care for their property. HomeFirst is committed to providing routine inspections with timely communications, ensuring their clients’ properties are well maintained, secured against the unexpected, and ready to be enjoyed.    

Tim has lived in the Wilmington area for his entire adult life and has family ties to the region dating back to the 1700s. His professional experience is in business operations and project management. Both of these areas require anticipating unexpected obstacles, being extremely reliable, and having solid backup plans. Tim began researching the Home Watch industry, determined that this is a great service, and approached Al.

Tim and Al have complementary backgrounds and experience; they have the same core values of wanting to help people and providing excellent and reliable service. They look forward to beginning a long-term, trust-based relationship with each client.
