HomeWatch of Westfield, of Westfield, New Jersey, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.
Owner Stephen Motyczka has been a Westfield resident for more than 25 years and is a retired New Jersey State Trooper. His law enforcement career began as a patrolman with the Westfield Police Department and concluded in one of the most sensitive positions in the New Jersey State Police. As a first responder, Steve has more than 15,000 first responder and police contacts. On September 11, 2001, he participated in law enforcement efforts in lower Manhattan.
Steve has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional and has graduated from the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp, making him one of the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Home Watch Boot Camp training show Steve’s commitment to providing excellent service to his clients.
Steve is a New Jersey Licensed Private Detective and an FAA-licensed (Part 107) drone pilot. He holds CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed certifications and current active shooter, identifying threat, and security and vigilance-for-everyone training certificates.
Steve is also an accredited investigator. His awareness of local happenings, trends, culture, and attitudes, in conjunction with extensive training in Homeland Security and personal protection techniques and methods, affords clients comprehensive Home Watch services they can trust in and depend on.
