Islander Home Watch Services of Cape Coral, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.
Owner Amanda Dvorak has been a Cape Coral resident for more than 40 years. With over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, she knows the value of an investment. As a SWFL homeowner and business professional, Amanda wants to provide the best service imaginable.
Born in Ohio, Amanda moved to Florida at a very young age; she considers herself a Floridian. Growing up in Cape Coral/Pine Island and graduating from Mariner High School, Amanda was a member of the Silver Magic Marching Band and started working at McDonalds at age 15. Customer service has always been a top priority of hers, and she moved up the corporate ladder quickly, earning a store manager position by the age of 18. From there, Amanda lived in a few other states, such as South Carolina (Greenville) and Nevada (Las Vegas), but Cape Coral has always been home. She has enjoyed a variety of different positions, most recently as commercial insurance manager for the past 10-plus years.
When her daughter was born, Amanda decided that Cape Coral/Pine Island was where she wanted her roots to be. Now that her daughter is off to college, Amanda found herself looking for something new and different to do. This is when she discovered Home Watch.
Amanda’s husband has been in the construction industry since the ripe age of 14. His family built an empire, which lasted until the Crash of 2008. They have been here through it all, staying true to their home and establishing relations along the way. The Dvoraks built their home in 2003 and learned to hold on tight! From hurricanes to tornadoes and even flooding, they learned how to take care of their investment, inside and out.
Over the years, Amanda has volunteered at her daughter’s elementary school, food banks, pet adoption facilities, and her personal favorite, Oktoberfest of Cape Coral. She loves giving back to her community and playing a special role in these organizations.
