Manatee Home Watch of Bradenton, FL, earns second-year accreditation from the NHWA!
Owner Geoff Fischer moved to Florida in 2008 and fell in love with all that Florida has to offer. He is an experienced technologist, having managed a large team of database engineers in the financial services industry. Previously, Geoff was a termite inspector, a household mover, and is an insurance-industry veteran. He is well-equipped for the fast-paced and technology-driven world we live in today.
Geoff has a neighbor who lives in Europe. A pipe burst while he was away one year, flooding his house. The damage was “unbelievable.” His property management company was supposedly taking care of the house, but his insurance company ended up not covering the disaster because his neighbor couldn’t prove the house was being watched or maintained with any sort of frequency. As a favor, Geoff started checking the neighbor’s house frequently. As the years have gone by, he has seen more and more short-timers in his area, and there seemed to be a need for education and services for these individuals. As he started researching, Geoff found the NHWA website, spoke with Jack, and “here we are today.”
Geoff has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional and is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp. The CHWP designation and Home Watch Boot Camp training shows Geoff’s commitment to providing excellent service to his clients.
An avid fisherman, golfer, soccer player and runner, you can frequently find Geoff out in the community, keeping a watchful eye and talking with friends new and old.
It was great to meet Geoff while I was on my Florida tour earlier in January.
A little about the National Home Watch Association: The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada (www.nationalhomewatchassociation.org).
