Greetings!
Naples Area Home Watch of Naples, Florida, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA.
Owners Steve and Sue Hartmann moved to Naples, Florida in 2017. Steve grew up in the Chicago, Illinois, area and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Benedictine University. He spent over 30 years in the information technology sector, working as a consultant, programmer analyst, systems analyst, and project manager. Steve performed many duties, including business analysis, application design, programming, testing, quality control, and project management. He has worked for software, consulting, manufacturing, service and home-building companies and moved to Florida to pursue a new career in the Home Watch industry.
Sue spent many years in the mortgage industry and 18 years as an office manager in the Chicago suburbs.
Steve and Sue arrived in Naples a few months before Hurricane Irma struck, and soon after saw first-hand the problems that wind, water, mold, and lack of power can cause. This prompted them to open their Naples Area Home Watch so they could help people keep their homes in the best condition and avoid or address problems as soon as possible. When regular Home Watch visits are performed, there is less chance of a problem or issue turning into a major incident.
Steve and Sue’s goal and guiding principle is, “Treating your home…like it is our own.”
Steve recently obtained the NHWA’s Certified Home Watch Professional designation designation and completed training with the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp.
During my recent Florida tour earlier this month, I met Steve and had a great discussion about Home Watch.
