Ocean City Home Watch of Ocean City, NJ, earns third-year accreditation from the NHWA!

Colin McCauley

Ocean City Home Watch of Ocean City, New Jersey, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the third year.

Owner Colin McCauley has always been very hands-on. By taking things apart, putting them back together, and reading how-to books, he learned about how things work in the home. Colin’s technical skills started to develop at a very early age, continued to grow throughout his life, and are always evolving with new technology.

Upon graduating from high school, Colin wanted to serve his community by offering his technical home-improvement expertise to others. At 18, he accepted a job with one of the leading home-improvement stores and launched himself onto a diverse career path. He helped thousands of local homeowners solve complex issues just by showing up at work and listening intently to them. Many repeat customers came to the store to seek Colin’s advice. In his free time, he assisted friends, family, and neighbors with projects. Given his extensive knowledge of the inner workings of everything in the home, people often sought out Colin to keep a close eye on their homes while they were away for extended periods of time. That was his introduction to Home Watch.

Colin held various positions with the company throughout South Jersey and Pennsylvania, including sales functions, leadership roles, and Human Resources, before leaving the company to continue a career in HR. Colin graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a minor in Human Resource Management.

Even though he was successful in HR, Colin had entrepreneurial life goals and realized something was missing: He felt disconnected from the community. He left his corporate HR role and took time to reconnect with family, the outdoors, and the community. Being a South Jersey native, Colin had enjoyed a lot of family time in Ocean City throughout his life. He decided to take a closer look at Ocean City to see why he always appreciated “America’s Greatest Family Resort” so much. Colin realized that there was no other community that he would rather serve. Upon studying all the different available services throughout the town, Colin found there was an opportunity for him to provide a professional service that would raise Home Watch standards to a whole new level.

Blending his home-improvement expertise, close attention to detail, passion for top-notch customer service, and his love for serving the community, Colin founded Ocean City Home Watch. Since its creation, Colin has spent much of his time developing OCHW to become the new gold standard for Home Watch services to match Ocean City’s high expectations for cleanliness, professionalism, and quality.

Ocean City Home Watch serves Ocean City, Longport, Margate City, Strathmere, Sea Isle City, Avalon, and Stone Harbor. You can reach Colin at (856) 535-8451 or at ocnjhomewatch@gmail.com. Learn more from his website, at www.ocnjhomewatch.com.

Congratulations, Colin!

As always, I wish you

Much success,

Jack Luber
Executive Director
