On Deck Home Check of Englewood, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the third year.

Owners Erik Holm of Englewood and Austin Buza of Venice take pride in caring for their clients’ homes, just as they would their own. Their mission is trust; they understand that their clients have made an investment in their community, and their goal is to help make sure it is not lost to time or unexpected events.

Austin has lived in Venice for over a decade. He has invested in rental properties locally and has a skilled knowledge of home maintenance. He and his wife, Jessica, have owned their home here for seven years. Austin worked in marketing for the previous 10 years, excels at organization, and always strives for professionalism. He has a keen sense of detail and customer service that has been developed throughout his work experience.

Austin and Jessica enjoy an active lifestyle of outdoor activities with their German Shepherd, Toka. Their hobbies include kayaking, board sports, fishing, boating, and motorcycle riding. 

Erik was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Both of his parents were born in the United States, and he carries dual citizenship. Early in his career, Erik worked for a property management company, helping to inspect and maintain apartment buildings. His love of aviation led him down a different path, and he got his degree in Aviation Management. Erik worked in the airline industry for 16 years in various roles. He played integral roles in both the airlines and airline service provider companies and helped to expand and grow each company he worked for. Erik became a valued resource and eventually became Vice President of Training, Safety, and Security. He was involved in auditing operations and investigating incidents and accidents in the aviation field. Erik left his prior work and moved, first to Venice and then to Englewood, to help care for his aging parents. He has enjoyed improving his own homes wherever he has resided and helping his parents with projects around their homes. 

Erik and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Ethan and Evelyn.
