Greetings and salutations.

It has been a while since I’ve blogged about what is happening in the NHWA. Things have been progressing very well. 2016 was a terrific year, with the NHWA reaching 200 members in good standing for the very first time in our history. When we officially launched back in 2010, we had nothing to fall back on but our ethics and a vision for the future. Well, this past September over 120 people came together in Fort Myers, Florida to take part in our 4th Annual North American Conference. 120 people!  If that doesn’t validate our vision, I don’t know what would.

The State Of the Association is strong!

There are many issues that we will be addressing in the future. Throughout the US and Canada, it is becoming more and more apparent that Home Watch is a recognizable service. This is not just about Florida and Arizona. Many places are beginning to see who and what we are. We believe that the time is coming for us to be proactive and to make our presence known – as a a group. There is strength in numbers. It is time for non-member companies to join us in a common purpose for a common goal. Too many “companies” are operating without proper insurance, bonding and recourse–and that means that the client has no recourse should something bad happen. Our industry needs accountability…and we need it sooner rather than later. We need more non-member companies to join us so our numbers get stronger, and our voice becomes more powerful.

Local chapters of the NHWA are being formed. This past week I attended the first meeting of our newly created Southwest Florida Chapter in Fort Myers. There were 35 people in attendance, which is a terrific start. Much was discussed, and there will be some very exciting developments coming from it. I will be in Arizona and Nevada late this month to attend the formation of the Arizona chapter, as well as visit venues at which to hold the NHWA’s 5th Annual North American Conference. If you would like to meet with me while I am in Arizona or Las Vegas, please let me know. In the meantime, if you are not yet a member, or you are planning on starting a new Home Watch company, give us a call. Become a part of our “Home Watch Community”–share and learn from your peers.

Thanks, and as always I wish you

Much success,

Jack
