SunCoast HomeWatch of Fort Myers, Florida, has earned Accredited Member status from the NHWA for the third year.

When Anne Ochester moved to a new development in South Fort Myers in 2003 with her husband Ray, she learned about the problems and aggravation that go along with building a new home. During a meeting with the community’s construction foreman one day, he told her how frustrated he was becoming with new homeowners because they would close on their new homes—and then return North, leaving him unable to complete repairs. He and his construction people had no access to the homes to finish checklists, etc. This gave Anne the idea to start a Home Watch company, to be able to get those repairs completed, as well as provide a service to owners to make sure their properties were okay while they were away.

Over the years, the business has grown to serve well over 100 clients, with four associates to serve them. SunCoast also offers concierge services and scheduling service appointments, as well as storm preparation and other emergency services. I was very happy to finally meet Anne and Ray on my last visit to Southwest Florida in late April.
