Toronto Home Watch of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, earns eighth-year accreditation!

Deena Friedman

Toronto Home Watch of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the eighth year.

I want to congratulate Deena Friedman for not only the 8th year of NHWA Accreditation for her company, Toronto Home Watch, but for helping the NHWA blaze a trail for Home Watch in Canada. Although the NHWA is based in the United States, Deena has helped grow the NHWA presence throughout Canada. She is highly active with the National Home Watch Association, serving on our Advisory Board, and she’ll be spearheading what we are calling our Canadian Initiative. This coming November, she’ll be hosting me and other NHWA members at a meeting in Ontario.

A native Torontonian, Founder and President, Deena has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has taught high school career studies, civics, and geography courses in Toronto for many years. Deena started Toronto Home Watch in 2015 because she discovered that the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has many homes that are unoccupied for extended periods of time. There are lots of homeowners who are snowbirds, cottagers, travelers, and foreign investors who leave their homes unattended for much of the year. And because most insurance companies require that any home left unoccupied for over 30 days be visited and checked on, she knew this service was needed.  Fact: Insurance claims for damage due to burst pipes or flooding can be denied if there has been no one in the home for as few as two days! With her family’s 30-plus years of experience managing residential and commercial properties, Deena’s team is well equipped to handle whatever issues may occur.

Toronto Home Watch offers Home Watch, keyholder, and concierge services throughout the GTA. Their goal at Toronto Home Watch is to make living and owning a home in Toronto an enjoyable experience.

Toronto Home Watch serves the Greater Toronto Area and Vaughan. You can reach Deena at (647) 490-5115 or at info@torontohomewatch.net. Learn more at www.torontohomewatch.net.

Congratulations, Deena!

As always, I wish you

Much success,

Jack Luber
Executive Director
