Altez Vacations – Home Watch and Concierge Services of Sarasota, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA.
Founder and CEO Kara Altice-Montes is a 30-year hotel executive with strong leadership and operational expertise. Her career has included working as a Vice President of Operations and Area General Manager for Four- and Five-Diamond/Star Hotels with leading hospitality brands. Kara began purchasing, promoting, and operating her own vacation rental homes in 2011. She quickly merged her expertise and passion for hotel operations, travel, quality, and relationship cultivation with vacation home ownership, and created the concept for Altez Vacations
Kara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Phoenix and a certification in Hotel Real Estate and Asset Management from Cornell University. She is also a consultant in the field of Leadership & Hotel Operations/Management.
In 2015, at age 26, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Sean Altice moved from Los Angles, California, to Sarasota with his wife, Denise Campbell, to begin a new journey: co-founding Altez Vacations. His entrepreneurial journey began in predicting growth of third-party travel distribution companies such as Airbnb and VRBO. His passion and vision helped spark the idea for the national company, Altez Vacations. As COO, Sean plays a critical role in training standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines that form the Altez Diamond Standards.
Kara and Sean saw an increase in requests from their clients for Home Watch/Concierge services. A large number of their local clients reside out of town or out of the country and look for the peace of mind that comes with having someone attentive to their property when it is not rented or occupied. Offering Home Watch and Concierge services became a natural “add-on” of their service capabilities to their clients.
Mark McCall, Altez Vacations’ Director of Strategic Growth and Development, is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional, which places him among the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify the company’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.
