Coastal Home Watch & Concierge of Brunswick County, North Carolina, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the fourth consecutive year.
Owned and operated by Chris and Karen Uchacz, the company was born out of personal experience and an understanding of what it means to own a second home or rental property from a distance.
What began as a need for reliable, professional care for their own properties has grown into a trusted service for others. Chris and Karen take pride in offering peace of mind to homeowners, treating every home as if it were their own. Coastal Home Watch & Concierge is a dream come true for Chris and Karen, who have owned second homes and rental property and fully understand the stress and anxiety that comes with living hours away or even out of state. While home security systems and video cameras can alert you to issues, a Home Watch professional is available when you can't be. Chris and Karen know the value of having a reliable "flip-flops on the ground" Home Watch service—someone who can keep a watchful eye on your home in order to provide you peace of mind. They take their business seriously and understand the level of trust placed in them to care for clients’ home and property. Chris and Karen serve their clients with the honesty and integrity they deserve. They serve clients at the highest level and offer a variety of services that they wish were available to them several years ago.
Chris and Karen are married and live in Ocean Isle Beach with their dogs, Kirby and Lulu. They've embraced the beach lifestyle and fallen in love with the area's beauty and the community's kindness. This is their forever home. Chris, originally from Vancouver, BC, spent 25 years working in collegiate athletics, while Karen, a Florida native, has built a career in sales, customer service, and the residential mortgage industry. Chris is also very active in the NHWA, as he wants to serve the NHWA’s membership and the Home Watch industry. Chris serves as Chair of the NHWA’s Marketing Committee.
