Congratulations, Lighthouse Home Watch of Tequesta, FL, on your second-year accreditation!
Barbara Harrison
John Morgan
Lighthouse Home Watch of Tequesta, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.
Barbara Harrison and John Morgan have lived in Northern Palm Beach County for over 40 years. John is a mechanical engineer and general contractor who owns a five-star air conditioning company. Barbara is a retired registered nurse who also owns a pool service company. After a personal experience with their condo rental, they decided to start a Home Watch business.
Barbara and John have a first-floor condo below a two-story condo. Water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling. The HOA maintenance department assessed the ceiling and told Barbara that their air ducts were leaking, and she would need to remove the ceiling and replace the duct work and ceiling. Barbara called John, who asked the maintenance person to check the condo above theirs, specifically a third-floor closet. (He knew the condos well from years of owning and operating a local air conditioning company.) Sure enough, the third-floor air handler had been leaking. The extensive water damage included drywall and flooring damage to the second and third floors. The owners had been gone for months and had a friend drop by periodically to check on the condo. The air handler had been leaking for over two weeks. Barbara and John had minimal damage since it was caught immediately, and John was familiar with the building. Had Barbara followed the maintenance person’s recommendation, it would have been disastrous, and the air handler would still have been leaking.
Barbara is a graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP), which places her among the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Barbara’s commitment to Home Watch excellence. Barbara and John founded Lighthouse Home Watch to give their clients peace of mind while they are away from home, whether for weeks or months.
