Crown Home Watch of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the third year.
Owners Pete and Taryn Wells began their Home Watch business in 2018 when they moved from California to Lakewood Ranch. They own several rental properties in the area and are very familiar with the concerns faced by their clients who are often thousands of miles away from their Florida homes.
After seeing the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian and the many problems absentee homeowners faced trying to recover, Pete and Taryn realized a need to formalize the business and joined the National Home Watch Association. They fully support its mission and high ethical standards. In fact, Taryn has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP) from the NHWA, placing her among the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation shows her commitment to providing excellent service to her clients.
Crown Home Watch’s client-focused approach has a simple mantra: “We treat every client as if they’re our only client!” Their clients know they can count on either Pete or Taryn to always answer their call or text. The year 2024 tested their commitment to the extreme: Despite three hurricanes, including two back-to-back, Crown Home Watch answered every call and fulfilled every client request. The couple has built an impressive network of local vendors, which they rapidly mobilized to help their clients who sustained damage. Returning clients were grateful to find their homes restored to the same condition as when they left.
Pete and Taryn share a great natural balance to ensure Crown Home Watch continues to exceed client expectations. Taryn’s background and MBA in Business, experience in risk management, property management, and project management, and keen attention to detail bring a blend of expertise valued by her clients. Pete spent many years in construction management and the building industry and is a creative problem solver for their business.
