Congratulations to Home Watch Sedona of Sedona, AZ, on its fifth-year accreditation!
Garry Young
Home Watch Sedona of Sedona, Arizona, has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the NHWA for the fifth year.
A lifelong resident of Arizona, Partner Garry Young was raised in the Phoenix area and is a graduate of Northern Arizona University. After a long career in the newspaper/advertising field, Garry started and built two Phoenix-based businesses: a pest-control company and a weed-control company. During the 12 years of operating these two successful businesses, customers often asked Garry to “keep an eye” on their homes while they were away. That kind of trust and rapport led to selling his Phoenix-based companies, moving back to Sedona, and establishing Home Watch Sedona. According to Garry, “With the growing number of seasonal homeowners here in Sedona, I felt an opportunity existed to provide a much-needed service for those part-time residents.” His commitment to customer service, satisfaction, and attention to detail sets his firm apart from the rest. Garry takes personal responsibility to inspect and care for every home as if it were his own.
Due to the fast growth of the business, Dave Kohlan was brought in as a Partner in 2024. He performs many of the home checks now and handles scheduling.
“With the average home price in Sedona being almost $1 million, it just makes a lot of sense for seasonal homeowners to have a professional—not a relative, not a neighbor—looking after one of their most valued assets,” says Garry.
Once inside the home, Garry or Dave goes from room to room, looking for any issue that might lead to a bigger problem if left unchecked, such as a small puddle on the flooring caused by a leaking roof or an HVAC unit that has stopped working.
Garry has resided in the Sedona (Village of Oak Creek) area for over seven years. He is a proud veteran who served overseas in the U.S. Army’s Military Police Corps.
Home Watch Sedona serves the Sedona and Village of Oak Creek areas. You can reach Garry at (928) 300-1572 or at garry@homewatchsedona.com. Learn more at his website, www.homewatchsedona.com.
Congratulations, Garry and Dave!
As always, I wish you
Much success,
Jack Luber Executive Director
