Congratulations to Lake Guard Home Watch Services of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, on their second-year accreditation!
Tim Schuett
Lake Guard Home Watch Services of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.
Owner Tim Schuett and his wife, Lori, are originally from Iowa. Tim grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa, and Lori grew up in Fort Dodge. Their family started coming to Lake of the Ozarks in 2009. In 2017, Tim found a job in the area, and they purchased a lake home.
Tim retired in March, 2023. Over his 30+ year career, he worked in many roles in corporate America. Most of his career was in the appliance and HVAC industries. He initially started on the shop floor of a major appliance manufacturer in Iowa; the skill set he had learned growing up on the farm helped him thrive in the manufacturing industry. Tim completed his degree in Design Drafting and was promoted from the shop floor to engineering. He learned many aspects of designing new products for the laundry division there. Tim designed projects himself, and these designs are still used today.
Tim was later promoted to operations management. He completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and became the “fixer” in the operations of this facility. Eventually, Tim moved on to another major manufacturer. Promoted to the supply-chain segment of the business, Tim worked with many suppliers and customers to ensure that parts were readily available and on time. His biggest challenges were during the Covid epidemic; he had to change the way he did business with his suppliers and his team’s way of doing business as well. New standard operation procedures were needed to combat supply-chain issues. Tim worked with his team to create these procedures, which are still used today. He enjoys working to improve and build things and helping others through challenges.
Tim graduated from the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP), placing him among the industry’s elite Home Watch providers. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Tim’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.
