Tri County Home Watch of South Salem, New York, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the second year.
Michael Lynch spent 40 years working in the facility and grounds maintenance field, the last 35 of which were as a Facility Director at school districts in New York and Connecticut. He was also a volunteer fire chief for 18 years (he is still a volunteer firefighter) and previously owned a home inspection company in New York.
Mike earned a bachelor of science degree in Health Education from Manhattan College. He also took three years of construction technology classes. He holds a Director of Facilities III certification from New York and a Building Operations Certification from Connecticut.
A graduate of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp, Mike has earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP), placing him among the industry’s elite Home Watch providers. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify Mike’s commitment to Home Watch excellence.
Mike’s daughter and business partner, Myra, has been performing Home Watch for several companies; they felt that with their experience, they could launch a business together. There are few Home Watch companies in their area; many are not insured or bonded, and the people running them have little experience. Mike and Myra saw a great business opportunity, and Tri County Home Watch was born.
Myra graduated from NYU and brings over 15 years of customer service experience to their business. Her experience includes retail, house sitting, dog grooming/walking, and concierge services for weekend homeowners.
Mike and his wife, Sy, have been married for 45 years and have two daughters and two grandchildren. Sy is the company’s office manager.
