Home Watch of Texas earns second-year accreditation! Congratulations!

Home Watch of Texas, of Kerrville, Texas, has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the NHWA for the second year.

Owners Tim and Katie Mangan grew up in large families with strong work ethics, and each child was expected to pitch in to help with the family business.

Tim and Katie opened a retail flooring store while raising their three children. They were driven by a belief in working harder than anyone else. Over the years, their business grew to include high-quality Amish furniture. Tim’s strength lies in his strong work ethic, while Katie’s gifts are remarkable. She has always had an uncanny ability to understand customer needs intuitively; she never had to "sell" anything. Katie knew what would resonate with their clients and, just as importantly, what wouldn’t.

For over a decade, Tim and Katie have called the Texas Hill Country home; it’s a place they love deeply. The Mangans traveled a lot, getting to know different parts of the country. No matter where they went, though, they always returned to the people of the Hill Country.

Having spent many years as residents of the Hill Country, the Mangans also kept a home in Wisconsin and fully understood the challenges of managing a property from afar. Coming home after time away, they never knew what to expect. They experienced flooded basements, pest infestations, and even had burglars kick in their front door. Tim knew there had to be a better way.

After using a local real estate company to check on their property, Tim and Katie realized that the company’s primary focus was on selling homes, not property care. While it was better than nothing, they still felt anxious every time they returned. They realized the solution was a dedicated company that would check their home weekly and provide peace of mind while they were away. Tim explained, “Finding someone trustworthy to properly care for your home when you're not around can be challenging. We want to solve that problem.” That’s why Tim and Katie started Home Watch of Texas, a company designed to alleviate the stress and anxiety of owning a second home.
