Snowbird Home Watch of North Oaks, Minnesota, has earned third-year accreditation for its Home Watch services from the NHWA.

Owner Ana Cantell started watching over her parents’ house while they vacationed in Mexico each winter. A few years ago, during a deep freeze, the furnace stopped working, resulting in a burst pipe. Luckily, it was caught before it was a disaster, but she wondered, “What did other snowbirds do with their unoccupied homes all winter?” From there, Snowbird Home Watch was launched.

Before starting Snowbird Home Watch, Ana was in the footwear industry, running her family’s U.S. distribution business of Swedish Clogs. Their company sold shoes nationwide and had a booth at the famous Minnesota State Fair.

When not working, Ana savors time with her family. She is a busy mom to two children and is active in the kids’ PTA and within the North Oaks Community. Ana grew up in North Oaks and returned there after starting a family.
