Sheri Schwagart
Pikes Peak Home Watch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the NHWA.
Sheri Schwagart founded the company as a natural extension of her passion for hospitality and property caretaking and her commitment to excellence. Her experience includes 22 years as the owner and general manager of a boutique lodging business in Colorado. As the principal operator of the company, renovations, repairs, seasonal maintenance, and guest services were solely Sheri’s responsibility.
Sheri has renovated several properties, including a historic 1929 home and guest house designed by a renowned architect that she and her husband, Tom, purchased in 2003. She is willing to learn and has a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic. As a result of her experience, Sheri became quite knowledgeable in the art of managing major renovations and nuanced in the details of everyday repairs and maintenance.
Sheri has lived in Colorado for over 30 years. She understands how high elevation, volatile weather, and even wildlife can affect property, with firsthand knowledge of how storms, particularly hail, can damage structures. Sheri is adept at post-storm assessments, knowing where to spot signs of hail damage, such as broken or damaged windows, impact marks to stucco, siding, roof, and gutters, along with surveying the landscape for damage to vegetation and sprinkler systems. She is also experienced in residential vacation home management.
Sheri loves helping others and is able to anticipate their needs. She is a certified mediator and has volunteered her services locally. Sheri also attended Mesa Community College and Arizona State University.
When Sheri is not working, she enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, and spending time with Tom, her college sweetheart. They are celebrating their 35th anniversary this year.
