Compass Home Watch of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, has earned accreditation for its Home Watch services from the NHWA. 

Patrick Bresser has lived in Grosse Pointe since 1978. A graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School and attendee of Northeastern University in Boston, he’s deeply connected to the community and surrounded by a strong network of friends and family.

Patrick brings a rare combination of marketing expertise, construction know-how, and local insight to Compass Home Watch. As a co-owner of a well-established direct mail and marketing firm, he’s no stranger to tight deadlines, complex logistics, and creative problem-solving. Earlier in his career, Patrick worked for a custom home builder outside of Boston, where he learned the craft of framing large custom homes. He later returned to Michigan and ran a successful remodeling business in Metro Detroit, earning a reputation for high-end carpentry and attention to detail.

With over three decades of hands-on experience—flipping homes, renovating his own property, and walking through countless houses with friends and clients—Patrick has developed a sharp eye for the subtle details that matter most in a home. His extensive background in residential construction, combined with his practical and problem-solving mindset, makes him a trusted partner for clients seeking to have their homes professionally looked after while they’re away.

Patrick married his wife, Michelle, in 1994, and together they’ve raised three children in the Grosse Pointe area, a place they’re proud to call home. Patrick’s love for the community is matched only by his passion for sailing, especially racing on Lake St. Clair and throughout the Great Lakes.
