Owner Jose Torres, Jr., is dedicated to keeping his clients’ homes safe, secure, and well cared for while they are away.
Growing up on Long Island, Jose was instilled with a strong sense of community and a commitment to service. He spent 16 years as an EMT, providing crucial care to individuals in urgent need. This role taught Jose the importance of quick decision-making, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail—vital skills in his Home Watch services.
Jose established a wildlife removal company after his rewarding career as an EMT. That experience deepened his understanding of the unique challenges homeowners face, from ensuring their safety to managing wildlife encounters. It prepared Jose to approach Home Watch with a comprehensive perspective, allowing him to monitor properties effectively with care and professionalism.
Jose moved to Lakewood Ranch in 2016. He felt welcomed by the vibrant atmosphere and friendly neighbors and quickly fell in love with the area. Jose also spent five years working in the intensive care unit at a local hospital, where he refined his vigilance and detail-oriented care skills. Jose’s experience solidified his dedication to maintaining a safe and supportive environment, qualities he prioritizes in his services. He understands how important it is for a person’s home to be a safe haven, allowing them to enjoy their time away without stress.
Family is the cornerstone of Jose’s life; he’s a proud father of two adult children. He and his wife, Michelle, enjoy visiting Disney. Jose indulges his passion for metal detecting, often exploring local parks and beaches in search of hidden treasures. He documents his adventures and discoveries on his YouTube channel (Tampa Bay Metal Detecting).
