Glen and Gary Fredericks

Gold Shield Home Watch of Fort Myers, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the fifth year.

Co-owners Glen and Gary Fredericks, retired police officers from the Boston area, now reside full-time in Fort Myers. Both brothers bring a wealth of experience and training to their business. Glen, a retired Detective Sergeant, boasts over 32 years in law enforcement, corrections, and industrial/retail security. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and has specialized training in crime and intelligence analysis, crime scene evidence, and information technology.

Gary, a retired Detective Lieutenant Commander, has 30 years of law enforcement service. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctorate in Family Law. Currently, he is a practicing attorney and a licensed real estate broker. Both Glen and Gary have been trained in crime prevention, environmental design, and target hardening. They have also provided public advice on home security.

Gold Shield Home Watch operates on a straightforward philosophy: “To provide people with the key to relaxation and peace of mind.” Professionalism and discretion are at the core of their services. Glen and Gary emphasize their commitment to being at their clients’ service, tailoring everything to meet individual needs. Their experience sitting on condominium association boards gives them unique insight into property owners' concerns.

Both Glen and Gary have earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional (CHWP) from the NHWA, putting them into the class of elite Home Watch providers. The CHWP designation reflects their dedication to delivering superior service to their clients.
