Big Island Property Monitoring Consultants of Waikoloa, Hawaii, has earned accreditation from the NHWA for the seventh year.

Owners Debbie Albrecht and David Kelly were inspired to start a Home Watch company based on their own experiences as vacation homeowners in Hawaii before relocating from Colorado. Over the years, they spent countless hours renovating their properties and often found themselves wondering about the condition of one home while they were at the other. Although they were fortunate not to have any major issues, minor problems still caused unnecessary stress—issues that could have been easily resolved with a reliable Home Watch service like the one they provide. As permanent residents, Debbie and Dave frequently hear similar concerns from seasonal visitors, which motivated them to establish Big Island Property Monitoring Consultants.

Dave is a Master Plumber with over 35 years of experience. He has extensive expertise in all areas of plumbing, including construction, renovation, repair, and service. Having worked for large mechanical companies and served as superintendent for numerous commercial projects, such as the renovation of the Air Force Academy, Dave understands the unique challenges of plumbing in a tropical paradise. From digging through lava to tracing leaks in pipes eroded by saltwater air or damaged by earthquakes, his knowledge ensures that every property under their care is well-maintained.

With her 20-year background in the financial industry as a Financial Crimes Consultant specializing in fraud prevention and identity theft investigation, Debbie brings a heightened awareness of privacy and confidentiality to their business. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial in running the company efficiently and building trust with homeowners.

When not working, Debbie and Dave enjoy embracing the beauty of their island home. They love paddle-boarding, snorkeling, exploring the island on foot or motorcycle, and spending quality time with friends and family.
