Mid Shore Home of Easton, MD, earns second-year accreditation. Congratulations!

Dan Ketelsen

Mid Shore Home of Easton, Maryland, has earned second-year accreditation from the NHWA.

Owner Dan Ketelsen worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years in the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada. Most of his career was spent with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, directing convention sales teams in New Orleans, Dallas, Calgary, and Anaheim. In 2013, he left Hyatt after 17 years and joined the Anaheim Convention and Visitors Bureau as Director of Convention Sales in their Washington, DC, office. Most recently, Dan served as Vice President of Sales Strategy for Associated Luxury Hotels International, representing luxury hotels worldwide.

In 2021, Dan and his wife, Lisa, moved from Arlington, Virginia, to Easton, Maryland. The Maryland Eastern Shore had long been on their radar, as Lisa's sister and family have had a weekend home in the area for years. Talbot County checked a number of boxes for them since it offers a great combination of rural and coastal living. Lisa and Dan grew up in small Midwestern towns, so rural life appealed to them, and Chesapeake Bay was a bonus.

Last winter, Lisa challenged Dan to spread his wings and immerse himself in Eastern Shore living. Constant work travel started to wear on him, and it was time for a change. The idea for Mid Shore Home was adapted from a need they have for Home Watch at their vacation home in Northern Minnesota. Much like the Eastern Shore, their vacation home is in a very rural area. They found their doorbell camera couldn’t suffice as eyes and ears on their property. It was this need that made Dan look around his Easton neighborhood. Many properties in the area are weekend or vacation homes. Thus, Mid Shore Home was developed to assist their neighbors who need eyes and ears on their homes.

Dan likes to spend his spare time with Lisa working on their gardens and playing with their dogs, Baxter and Roux.

Mid Shore Home serves Talbot, Queen Anne, and Dorchester Counties. You can reach Dan at (410) 714-2103 or at dan@midshorehome.com. Learn more at his website, https://www.midshorehome.com.

Congratulations, Dan!

As always, I wish you

Much success,

Jack Luber Executive Director
