Dom Prochilo

​First Response Home Watch Pros of Cape Coral, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA.

Owner Domenico Prochilo has dedicated the past 11 years to serving Lee County as a firefighter and paramedic. His experience in public safety has provided him with extensive hands-on knowledge in emergency response, medical care, and disaster management. Dom’s background has also shaped his deep commitment to the safety and well-being of individuals and now, with his new venture, property. Dom’s expertise allows him to approach Home Watch services with the same diligence, preparedness, and professionalism he has applied throughout his public safety career.

Dom has earned the following degrees and certificates: an Associate in Science degree in Emergency Medical Services; Florida State Certified Pump Operator; Fire Officer I; Fire Safety Inspector I; Paramedic; Firefighter II; and a B.A. in Emergency Management, which he will complete in the Fall of 2025 at Waldorf University.

Dom started First Response Home Watch Pros after witnessing firsthand as a firefighter the significant impact that the absence of Home Watch services can have on unoccupied properties. Dom has seen countless homes suffer avoidable damage due to undetected water leaks, storm damage, or electrical malfunctions, which often escalated simply because there was no one to catch the problem early. This inspired him to apply his public safety experience to protect homeowners, particularly seasonal residents, by offering reliable Home Watch services. Dom’s goal is to provide peace of mind and prevent costly damage, ensuring homes are well-maintained even when owners are away.

Dom and his wife, Melissa, have been together for 16 years. They have three children: Nicholas, Matthew, and Madison. In his spare time, Dom enjoys being with family, whether at home or heading outdoors for a hike. Exploring new cities is another passion of Dom’s, as he enjoys discovering new places and cultures while creating lasting memories with the people he cares about most.
