Brent and Michelle Hostutler

Blue Line Home Watch and Consulting of Summerfield, Florida, has earned accreditation from the NHWA.

Owners Brent and Michelle Hostutler began going to the Gulf Shores area in 2009 and fell in love with the area and the warm hospitality of the residents. They purchased their first home in Fort Morgan in 2018, using it as both an income property and a vacation home. By 2022, with their youngest child having left the nest, Brent and Michelle decided to make Fort Morgan their permanent residence, leaving behind the cold winters of Michigan.

Brent is a retired public safety officer from the Detroit area, who later transitioned into the corporate world, providing technology solutions for police and fire departments nationwide. He also volunteers with the local fire department and serves as the president of his condo association. Michelle has a strong background in the insurance industry, specializing in home and auto insurance. She has also worked in real estate, focusing on sales and home appraisals. Michelle sits on her condo association’s finance committee.

The Hostutlers quickly learned the challenges of owning a rental property from a distance, dealing with power outages, water leaks, renter damage, and the looming threat of Gulf Coast storms. These experiences, coupled with observing the stress of their neighbors in a vacation rental community, inspired them to establish a local Home Watch company.

Blue Line Home Watch and Consulting embodies Brent and Michelle’s values of integrity, compassion, and transparency. They are more than just business associates; they are dedicated neighbors committed to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with the mantra, “Your concerns are ours.”

Brent and Michelle are graduates of the NHWA’s Home Watch Boot Camp and have earned the designation of Certified Home Watch Professional, which places them among the elite Home Watch providers in the industry. The CHWP designation and Boot Camp training exemplify their commitment to Home Watch excellence.
